The beginning of good things
Piedmonte literally means ‘at the foot of the mountain’ and the name could not be more apt for this great wine producing region of Italy. The region is bordered by the Alps on one side and is one of the most beautiful regions of the country. The Piedmont wineries are known to produce some of the best boutique wines that you will find in the world.
Especially for wine enthusiasts
Our tour of the Piedmont wineries and the region is ideal for serious wine lovers. Depending on the length of your tours we could schedule up to 2 wine tasting sessions or winery tours per day. In additions to this you will also feast on some of the best foods in Italy and if you’re lucky you might taste some more great wine during these. In Piedmont wine making is treated as an art and this will become evident when you visit wineries like the Braida winery in Piedmont Italy.
Making the impossible possible
The story of this winery goes back to the 1960s when Giacomo Bologna proved that the not so valued Barbera grape could actually produce some of the best wines in the its class if cultivated with the right conditions. Later his son established the Braida winery in Piedmont Italy and soon the winery produced three of its signature wines, Ai Suma, Uccellone and Bricco della Bigotta. Today these wines are some of the most famous in the country.
Around Piedmont
When you are not busy touring the Piedmont wineries our tour has provisions for other activities like visiting tourist attractions, dining at a salami and cheese maker etc. You can even explore the surrounding regions on foot or you can use a bicycle.
